We have a backup plan of hiring a fractional MD in the case of unforeseen disruption with Dr. Cafaro. This will give us the time to find a replacement without any disruptions to the patients Dr. Cafaro sees, and without disruptions to the clinical oversight/mentoring provided to the other providers.
Meanwhile, as part of our risk-mitigation and continuity plan (outlined here) we have a tiered strategy to simultaneously decentralize control from any single physician at every level of the business, while actively building a pipeline of potential hires and partners through our marketing and networking initiatives. Ultimately, we would like to have a clinical partner/ Chief Medical Officer who has the experience and commerciality to help build our greater acquisition strategy and have identified upcoming events and forums where we can network and meet the types of individuals we are looking for.
