During our Phase 2 of commercial due diligence, we gained access to the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Systems, PracticeFusion and Tebra, where we were able to track diagnostic codes, protocols, and appointment histories. We identified 10 representative patients (ie. mid-40s weight loss female, mid-50s testosterone patient etc.) from different providers, and manually built out charts to track the patient-reported symptoms, lab tests drawn (and how often), diagnoses established, medications prescribed (including third-party prescriptions and those sold and picked up through the clinics), and what charts/notes were recorded along the way. Our goal in doing this was not only to track patterns in their treatment of patients, but also to eyeball the charts to look for anything that might seem out-of-line or unusual in the treatments, which we were reassured not to see.
As part of Phase 3 due diligence, we will be engaging a consultant MD with experience in hormone management to further investigate the charts to ensure the treatment protocols are in-line with the lab test results and patient-reported symptomology.
